Islamic Destruction of Art

Islam has been opposed to representational art since the beginning. In comparison to the European world, the Indian subcontinent and East Asia, intact Islamic traditions of representational art in the modern era barely exist.

Many are aware it is forbidden to portray the non-existent ‘prophet’, they are unaware however that this applies to all things that Islam deems as having a ‘soul’.

The hadiths are unanimous in totally condemning representational art:

Narrated Aisha: Um Habiba and Um Salama mentioned about a church they had seen in Ethiopia in which there were pictures. They told the Prophet about it, on which he said, “If any religious man dies amongst those people they would build a place of worship at his grave and make these pictures in it. They will be the worst creature in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection.”

Hadith 419, Book 8, Volume 1, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Abdullah: When the prophet entered Mecca on the day of the Conquest, there were 360 idols around the Kaa’ba. The prophet started striking them with a stick he had in his hand and was saying, “Truth has come and falsehood will neither start nor will it reappear.”

Hadith 583, Book 59, Volume 5, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Of course every part of Islamic ‘picture hatred’ is saturated with actual blasphemy, as with the above. This is also allegorical.

Narrated Ibn Abbas: When Allah’s messenger arrived in Mecca, he refused to enter the Kaa’ba while there were idols in it. So he ordered that they be taken out. The pictures of Abraham and Ishmael, holding arrows of divination in their hands, were carried out. The prophet said, “May Allah ruin them for they knew very well that they never drew lots by these. Then the prophet entered the Kaa’ba and said. “Allahu akbar” in all its directions and came out and not offer any prayer therein.

Hadith 584, Book 59, Volume 5, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Aisha: When the Prophet became ill, some of his wives talked about a church which they had seen in Ethiopia and it was called Mariya. Um Salma and Um Habiba had been to Ethiopia, and both of them narrated its beauty and the pictures it contained. The Prophet raised his head and said, “Those are the people who, whenever a pious man dies amongst them, make a place of worship at his grave and then they make those pictures in it. Those are the worst creatures in the sight of Allah.”

Hadith 425, Book 23, Volume 2, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated ‘Aun bin Abu Juhaifa: My father bought a slave who practiced the profession of (medical) cupping. He broke his cupping tools. I asked my father why he had done so. He replied, “The prophet forbade the acceptance of the sale of a dog or sale of blood, and also forbade the profession of tattooing, getting tattooed and receiving or giving usury, and cursed the picture-makers.”

Hadith 299, Book 34, Volume 3, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Aisha: I bought a cushion with pictures on it. When Allah’s apostle saw it, he kept standing at the door and did not enter the house. I noticed the sign of disgust on his face, so I said, “O Allah’s Apostle! I repent to Allah and his apostle . Please let me know what sin I have done.” Allah’s apostle said, “What about this cushion?” I replied, “I bought it for you to sit and recline on.” Allah’s Apostle said, “The painters of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection. It will be said to them, ‘Put life in what you have created (i.e. painted).’ ” The Prophet added, “The angels do not enter a house where there are pictures.”

Hadith 318, Book 34, Volume 3, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan: While I was with Ibn Abbas a man came and said, “O father of Abbas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures.” Ibn Abbas said, “I will tell you only what I heard from Allah’s apostle . I heard him saying, ‘ Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.’ ” Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn Abbas said to him, “What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects.”

Hadith 428, Book 34, Volume 3, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

So representational painting is FINE if you paint a tree or a plant? Will the quivering angels ‘enter’ at the sight of a tree? Nothing in Islam makes ANY sense.

Narrated Al-Qasim: Aisha said that she hung a curtain decorated with pictures of animals on a cupboard. The Prophet tore that curtain and she turned it into two cushions which remained in the house for the Prophet to sit on.

Hadith 659, Book 43, Volume 3, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

The hadiths really like this story.

Having a curtain with an elephant on it is worse than raping a nine year old.

Narrated Aun bin Abu Juhaifa: I saw my father buying a slave whose profession was cupping and ordered that his instruments of cupping be broken. I asked him the reason for doing so. He replied, “Allah’s apostle prohibited taking money for blood, the sale of a dog, and the earnings of a slave-girl by prostitution; he cursed her who tattoos and her who gets tattooed, the practitioner of usury, and the maker of pictures.”

Hadith 440, Book 34, Volume 3, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet entered the Kaa’ba and found in it the pictures of Abraham and Mary. On that he said’ “What is the matter with them? They have already heard that angels do not enter a house in which there are pictures; yet this is the picture of Abraham. And why is he depicted as practicing divination by arrows?”

Hadith 570, Book 55, Volume 4, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet saw pictures in the Kaa’ba, he did not enter it till he ordered them to be erased. When he saw the pictures of Abraham and Ishmael carrying the arrows of divination, he said, “May Allah curse them! By Allah, neither Abraham nor Ishmael practiced divination by arrows.”

Hadith 571, Book 55, Volume 4, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated ‘Aisha: Um Habiba and Um Salama mentioned a church they had seen in Ethiopia and in the church there were pictures. When they told the Prophet of this, he said, “Those people are such that if a pious man amongst them died, they build a place of worship over his grave and paint these pictures in it. Those people will be Allah’s worst creatures on the Day of Resurrection.”

Hadith 213, Book 58, Volume 5, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Ibn Abbas: Abu Talha, a companion of Allah’s Apostle and one of those who fought at Badr together with Allah’s apostle told me that Allah’s apostle said. “Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture” He meant the images of creatures that have souls.

Hadith 338, Book 59, Volume 5, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated by ‘Awn ibn Abi Juhaifah, from his father, who said: “The prophet cursed the woman who tattoos and the one who is tattooed, and the one who practices usury and the one who pays it. He forbade the sale of a dog and the earnings of a prostitute, and he cursed those who make images.”

Hadith 259, Book 63, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

The prophet said, “Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or there are pictures.”

Hadith 833, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated by Mu’adh ibn Fadala: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Imran ibn Hittan, that Aisha narrated to him that the prophet would not leave anything in his house containing crosses without removing them.

Hadith 836, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

“‘The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers.”

Hadith 834, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Yes, it is clear, the absolute WORST thing in Islam to be (next to a dog or a curtain depicting a cow of course) is being an artist.

Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allah’s apostle said, “Those who make these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them. ‘Make alive what you have created.'”

Hadith 835, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Narrated Aisha: Allah’s apostle returned from a journey when I had placed a curtain of mine having pictures over a chamber of mine. When Allah’s apostle saw it, he tore it and said, “The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to recreate Allah’s creations.” So we turned it into one or two cushions.

Hadith 838, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

Apologies for the endless repetition of this moronic story here. It is important to know how robotic and worthless this scum is.

Do ‘progressives’ and apologists for Islam, morons who bark at people to ‘respect religion!’, who overwhelmingly are the manufacturers of images on sites like X, really think Muslims will spare them? How arrogant and ignorant are you, fools?

Allah’s apostle said, “Angels do not enter a house where there are pictures.'” The sub-narrator Busr added: “Then Zaid fell ill and we paid him a visit. Behold! There was, hanging at his door, a curtain decorated with a picture. I said to Ubaidullah Al-Khaulani, the step son of Maimuna, the wife of the Prophet, “Didn’t Zaid tell us about pictures the day before yesterday?” ‘Ubaidullah said, “Didn’t you hear him saying: ‘except a pattern in a garment’?”

Hadith 841, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

What a convenient excuse. Maybe this one was just inserted in at some point, who knows? ‘Patterns or ‘designs’ on garments that aren’t worn by women are okay, yet everything representational is forbidden.

Narrated Anas: Aisha had a thick curtain, having pictures on it, and she screened the side of her house with it. The Prophet said to her, “Remove it from my sight, for its pictures are still coming to my mind in my prayers.”

Hadith 842, Book 72, Volume 7, Sahih al-Bukhari, Muhammad Al-Bukhari

The sight of an elephant on a child’s curtain is enough to break the ‘prophet’s’ concentration altogether. What a shit WEAKLING!

We see from Abu Dawud Number 4913 and 4914 that only children were allowed to play with dolls. The question becomes how does one manufacture a doll without recreating Allah’s ‘creation’?

Thankfully for some of the holy people, the dolls did not mean such children were unavailable for sexual access:

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu’minin: When the apostle of Allah arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar, the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her. He asked: What is this? She replied: “My dolls.” Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: “What is this I see among them?! She replied: “A horse.” He asked: “What is this that it has on it?” She replied: “Two wings.” He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: “Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings?” She said: Thereupon the apostle of Allah laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth.

Hadith 4914, Book 41, Sunan Abu Dawud, Abu Dawud as-Sijistani

It just goes on and on and on. The other hadith books have endless iterations of the Aisha cushion or curtain story, the hatred of dogs, the church and grave story, the cupping slave, the fetid angels not entering because a drawing of Spongebob or a shih-tzu can overpower them, and so on and so forth.

THE POINT BEING, ART IS THE WORST SIN IN ISLAM OF THEM ALL.

Where does this hatred of art even come from?

You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or on the earth below or in the waters beneath the earth.

Exodus 20:3-4, Torah (Old Testament)

Rav Yehuda, son of Rav Yehoshua, said: I heard in a lecture of Rabbi Yehoshua that there is a different reason why one may not fashion a figure of a human face; the verse states: “You shall not make with me” (Exodus 20:20). This can be read as: You shall not make me. Since the human being was created in the image of God (see Genesis 1:27), it is prohibited to fashion an image of a human being. But fashioning figures of other attendants of God is permitted.

43b.4, Avodah Zarah, Babylonian Talmud

Our belief as Satanists is that art spiritually elevates: it is a precondition for an elevated civilization and one of the most exalted forms of creation. This is true to the extent that the state of art often reflects the health of an advanced society.

Many souls have a natural necessity to create art in some form or another. Even children may spend their time scribbling when bored: Islam has to beat this out of them.

Some do not have time for art, considering it a frivolous and luxurious waste of time that neither saves lives nor can be used as a practical matter or physical weapon, at least depending on the situation (obviously in a war, art would take a back seat), but this is a matter of perspective based on development.

The programs of the enemy have always contained prohibitions against ‘graven images’ depicting humans and so-called ‘celestial beings’, i.e. the worthless angels and their ilk.

Christianity, intended to subvert the Roman milieu, was more or less unable to adhere to this totally. The spread of Christianity among the white and black races who are very visual and musical in their output also caused issues in banning it.

This cult underwent several ‘iconoclasms’ and destructions of idols, paintings and luxuries, the most important being the Byzantine iconoclasms and that of Savonarola, as well as the Protestant prohibitions against detailed images in churches and worship.

Nonetheless, a number of visual symbols became all-important to ritual within this so-called religion and to siphon the belief-potential of its adherents. Endless pagan imagery was subverted. Even in the stripped back formula of Protestantism, this thievery is blatant.

If Christianity co-opts and subverts the imagery of paganism, Islam bans the visual form of this altogether. The reasons for this are simple. The more invested in subversive programming one is, the more averse one is to representations of the Gods and anything natural.

This is not just about energy, but about the fact nature in itself disproves the programs of the enemy and their ilk; it contains clues.

One major boon to this in spreading Islam to Arabs is that although pre-Islamic Arabia did have traditions of sculpture, cultural traits lended themselves to their love of poetry and verbal conventions, which superseded their visual and musical preferences.

Certain forms of portraiture continued under the Rashidun and Umayyad caliphates of early Islam, particularly as the majority of the population had not yet become Muslim. Arab rulers conscious of defection and levying heavy taxes on non-Arab Muslims also wanted to distract away from Byzantine churches and their stolen finery.

After the fall of the Umayyad dynasty, which was seen as an era of excess benefitting only Arab Muslims, most forms of representational portraiture went extinct.

Rulers such as Al-Mansur (Almanzor) led large-scale bonfires of representational art and other ‘vanities’, employing networks of Muslim spies to enforce these rules.

Since banning images is altogether inhuman, Muslims, past and present, have continuously used various methods to get beyond these problems. One major idea that came forward was the idea of using shapes, flowers and other motifs of nature along with words written in various scripts to represent the ‘oneness’ of the Muslim “god”, in line with ‘allowances’ like the Hadith 841 above.

Often present in mosques up to the 18th century, these were often used in an irregular manner by artists to supposedly parallel the ‘diversity’ of the world created by the Islamic “god”, rather than the forms of standardization of art seen in Europe under the aegis of the church.

Shortly afterward, the Turkic and Mongol courts who converted to Islam in a less orthodox style such as the Seljuks and Ilkhanate relaxed rules around art, allowing for portraiture with a distinct East Asiatic style. This continued in Iran, the Ottoman Empire and Mughal India for many centuries.

Artistic and architectural production began to decline significantly in the Islamic world around the 18th century. Many artisans were slaves and of a lowly position, yet sources of these began to dry up. The traditional monarchies of the Islamic world collapsed, leading to a general loss of patronage and security for artists whether they were under bondage or not.

Most importantly, the advent of Wahhabi belief systems beginning in the 19th century along with countless other orthodox reform movements put any production of art in a precarious place as they insisted any form of representation was contrary to the Qu’ran and Hadith outlined above.

Thus with the above in mind, orthodox Muslim groups such as IS even remove and destroy iconography of something as simple and beautiful as flowers used in arabesques. This is clear and obvious insanity.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO

With photography and video cameras, Islam came to an impassé, as it was impossible to ban this. By the definitions above, however, anyone can see these too count as an act of ‘creation’, especially when a photo or video is edited.

These issues have clearly been amplified since the advent of the internet. Muslims constantly browse the internet and yet forbid the creation of art, drawing and sculpture.

Some Muslims permit videos and ban photographs as the former are not considered to be ‘still images’ rivalling so-called Allah’s creation. Cretinous is one way of describing this. One might ask what happens if one screenshots or pauses a video?

The status of photography remains ambiguous and completely hypocritical. The Islamic State and the Taliban copiously use these methods to spread their propaganda, particularly depicting grisly executions designed to inspire fear in the non-believer, yet by the strictest token they are forbidden.

The development of art in Islam has come to a total standstill, with even many of the architectural feats present in the Islamic world such as the Burj Khalifa being the product of foreign artisans and architects.

CONCLUSION

The preservation of creation is a divine faculty of the Gods bestowed to humanity for a reason. We will not permit these nefarious and alien programs to interfere any longer.

Symmetry and beauty found in true art are a parallel for a harmonious and truly ethical existence that propels itself upward, rather than the stupidity of Islam declaring war on curtains.

Anyone who is artistic and wishes for an artistic world must declare war on this pernicious poison of Islam. Serving two masters out of cowardice is not a possibility.
