Contradictions in the Quran – Part III

On top of everything else already covered in greater depth, the Qu’ran’s list of contradictions and errors is boundless. A great many of these pertain to what was discussed in Part 1, that being contradictions within the shared Abrahamic narrative. This list is to cover miscellaneous entries such as those, which are things mostly not worth elaborating on and are really only worth noting specifically just to highlight how many such things exist. Again, I will repeat the verse we started with.

Why don’t they contemplate upon the Quran? Had it been originated from anyone besides Allah then it would have been beset with inconsistencies and contradictions.

Quran 4:82

Little did the author know, I imagine, just how self-defeating this statement would be. To save time, these will be noted with little elaboration, again keeping in mind that even this will still not be every error. There really are just that many.

The sheer amount of these errors should conclusively prove the Quran is a work of fiction of a lesser calibre than a modern day fantasy novel, which generally have far less contradictions. For those reading this who still have fear the Quran was authored by divine hand, let this work dispel your fears.

How many Angels spoke to Mary (the mother of Jesus)?

ONE

And mention in the Book [the story of] Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east. And she took, in seclusion from them, a screen. Then we sent to her our spirit, and he appeared before her as a well-proportioned man. She said, ‘Indeed, I seek refuge in the most merciful from you, if you should be righteous.’ He said, ‘I am only the messenger of your Lord to grant you gift of a pure boy.’

Quran 19:16-19

MULTIPLE

And when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah has chosen you and made you pure, and has preferred you above all the women of creation.

Quran 3:42

[And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from him, whose name will be the messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah].

Quran 3:45

Will Christians/Jews/Sabians/other Monotheists still go to Islamic Hell?

YES, THEY WILL ALL GO TO HELL WITHOUT EXCEPTION

And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

Quran 3:85

They have certainly disbelieved who say, “Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary” while the Messiah has said, “O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Indeed, he who associates others with Allah – Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his abode is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.

Quran 5:72

SOME MIGHT NOT?

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans– those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Quran 2:62

Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians – those who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness – no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Quran 5:69

Was the Pharaoh in the fictional Exodus story saved or left to drown?

DROWNED

I deem thee lost, O Pharaoh. And he wished to scare them from the land, but We drowned him and those with him, all together.

Quran 17:202-3

We seized him [Pharaoh] and his hosts, and threw them into the sea and so was the end of the wrongdoers.

Quran 28:40

So, when they angered us, we punished them and drowned all of them.

Quran 43:55

SAVED

And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh and his soldiers pursued them in tyranny and enmity until, when drowning overtook him, he said, ‘I believe that there is no deity except that in whom the Children of Israel have believed, and I am of the Muslims.’ Now? And you had disobeyed [Allah] before and were of the corrupters? So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of our signs, are heedless.

Quran 10:90-92

How should other (non-Muslim) Monotheists/Jehovah worshippers [i.e. People of the Book/Scripture] be treated?

WELL (UNTIL ALLAH GIVES HIS COMMAND TO STRIKE)

Many of the People of the Book [Scripture] wish to turn you back to disbelief… So forgive and overlook until Allah brings about His command.

Quran 2:109

WITH VIOLENCE (UNTIL THEY PAY THE JIZYA TAX)

Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the last day…  and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.

Quran 9:29

Was Heaven or Earth created by Allah first?

HEAVEN

Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? He constructed it. He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. And he darkened its night and brought forth its daylight. And after that, he spread the earth.

Quran 79:27-30

EARTH

He it is who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned he to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens.

Quran 2:29

Say: disbelieve all of you verily in him who created the earth in two days?… Then turned he to the heaven… Then he made them seven heavens in two days.

Quran 41:9-12

Will Allah forgive any and all sins?

YES (IF YOU ASK ALLAH)

And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself but then seeks forgiveness of Allah will find Allah forgiving and merciful.

Quran 4:110

Say: ‘My slaves, you who have transgressed against yourselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Truly Allah forgives all wrong actions. He is the ever-forgiving, the most merciful.’

Quran 39:53

NO, SOME “SINS” ARE UNFORGIVABLE

Allah does not forgive association with him, but forgives what is less for those whom he wills. And whoever associates others with Allah has made an enormous sin.

Quran 4:48/4:116

Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted those from the path of Allah and then died while they were disbelievers – never will Allah forgive them.

Quran 47:34

They believed, then they disbelieved, so their hearts were sealed, and they do not understand… It is the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; Allah will not forgive them.

Quran 63:3-6

“Ascribing partners” here is code for being a Pagan. Thus, being a Pagan is absolutely unforgivable in Islam.

How many Angels fought for Muhammad at the Battle of Badr?

3000

[Remember] when you said to the believers, “Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?

Quran 3:124

1000

[Remember] when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, “Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another.”

Quran 8:9

How long is a “day” for Allah?

1000 YEARS

And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in his promise. And indeed, a day with your lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.

Quran 22:47

He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to him in a day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.

Quran 32:5

50,000 YEARS

The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.

Quran 70:4

Who was the first Muslim?

ABRAHAM/JACOB

The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob, (saying): O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the true religion; therefore die not save as men who have surrendered (unto him).

Quran 2:132

MOSES

And Moses fell unconscious. And when he recovered, he said, ‘Glory be to You! I turn to You in repentance, and I am the first of the believers.

Quran 7:143

MUHAMMAD

And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be the first of the Muslims

Quran 39:12

To further go into this, Surah 2:37 also implies that Adam was the “first Muslim” and other verses and hadiths specify all animals are Muslims so this problem is even stupider than one would think.

Does Allah make distinctions between his messengers?

YES

Those messengers – some of them we caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and he raised some of them in degree. And we gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs, and we supported him with the pure spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what he intends.

Quran 2:253

NO

The messenger believes in that which hath been revealed unto him from his lord and (so do) believers. Each one believes in Allah and his angels and his scriptures and his messengers – We make no distinction between any of his messengers – and they say: “we hear, and we obey. Grant us forgiveness, our Lord. Unto you is the journeying.”

Quran 2:253

Much like Communism, all Prophets are equal, but some Prophets are more equal than others. This demonstrates supposed Muhammad’s character. He wanted to pay his respects to his supposed forebears, the previous “prophets” his odious faith was based on. But as his ego grew, he wished to be even more special. In the Islamic structure of Heaven, Muhammad dwells in the Highest Heaven, above Jesus, Moses, and many others. Surah 2:285 falls apart for this reason.

How long did it take for Muhammad to receive the Quran in its entirety?

IN ONE NIGHT?

In the name of Allah, the entirely merciful, the especially merciful. Indeed, We sent it [the Quran] down during the night of Decree. and what can make you know what is the night of Decree? The night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the spirit descend therein by permission of their lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

Quran 97:1-5

OVER A SPAN OF TIME?

Those who reject faith say: “Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that we may strengthen your heart thereby, and we have rehearsed it to you all in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually.

Quran 25:32

The month of Ramadan is celebrated because it’s the night Muslims associate with the receiving of the Quran by Muhammad. The traditional Sunni Orthodox view is that it was sent all at once during Ramadan, and you might realize there’s a particularly glaring issue with this concept, given the Quran primarily follows Muhammad’s own life and times. How did the Quran exist, in heaven or earth, if it’s about things Muhammad didn’t do yet? This implies predestination, which rides against the concept of “free will” in Islam. Another revealing, conceptual failure within Islam.

What was Joseph (son of Abraham) sold for?

And they sold him for a reduced price – a few dirhams – and they were, concerning him, of those content with little.

Quran 12:20

To note, “Dirhams” are a type of coin currency. In the age and locale of the fictional character of Joseph, coins of this nature did not exist and were not traded, making this event an impossibility. “Dirham” however, did exist during the supposed time of Muhammad, so it’s plenty apparent where the concept came from. It was obviously written in with a low understanding of history.

This is also contradictory to the Torah (Old Testament), where Joseph is sold for twenty pieces of silver:

Then there passed by Midianite merchants; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver; and they brought Joseph into Egypt.

Genesis 37:28

Alexander the Great – a Muslim according to the Quran?

Then he followed a way until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom we had not made against it any shield. Thus it was, and we had encompassed all that he had in knowledge. Then he followed a way until, when he reached a pass between two mountains, he found beside them a people who could hardly understand his speech. They said, ‘O Dhul-Qarnayn, indeed Gog and Magog are great corrupters in the land. So may we assign for you an expenditure that you might make between us and them a barrier?’ He said, ‘That in which my Lord has established me is better than what you are offering, but assist me with strength; I will make between you and them a dam. Bring me sheets of iron, until, when he had leveled them between the two mountain walls, he said, ‘Blow with bellows,’ until when he had made it like fire, he said, ‘Bring me, that I may pour over it molten copper.’ So Gog and Magog were unable to pass over it, nor were they able to effect in it any penetration. Dhul-Qarnayn said, ‘This is a mercy from my Lord; but when the promise of my Lord comes, He will make it level, and the promise of my Lord is ever true.’

Quran 18:89-98

This will look like nothing to the layman. However, the most accepted interpretation (by Islamic scholars) is that Dhu al-Qarnayn is none other than Alexander the Great. This was, in fact, the most popular theory among almost all early Islamic Quranic commentators. This is because the history given to this Dhu al-Qarnayn is eerily similar in many ways to Alexander’s. The name Dhu al-Qarnayn means “two horned”, which is one of the primary ways Alexander was shown in contemporary iconography. Obviously, the entirety of this claim falls apart, given the fact Alexander was a devout Pagan who built a multitude of monuments, even as far as India, to the Olympian Gods. Alexander was also celebrated as a near-divine being himself. This is nothing but pure, absolute idiocy. A small minority of Muslims try to protect themselves saying their own scholars are wrong and that it’s not Alexander this refers to but Cyrus the Great. This would also be absolutely wrong as well, as Cyrus was not a Muslim (as Islam didn’t exist yet, same as Alexander).

Another possibility is that this is a corrupted occult allegory, like the Noahide flood, Muhammad supposedly ‘meeting’ Abraxas in heaven and other stories of the Quran.

The name of Abraham?

For those unaware of the Torah and its many odious stories, the character of Abraham was not always called such within the context of the story. The name was actually given to him by YHVH when he was already 99 years of age.

Here’s the excerpt from Genesis 17:1,3 and 5:

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty, walk before me and be blameless… Abram fell facedown, and God said to him… No longer will you be called Abram, your name will be Abraham for I have made you father of many nations.

Genesis 17:1-5

Most people who have not wasted their lives reading the Bible would be aware of the name “Abraham”, but not of the fact he was originally called Abram.

Along comes the Quran however, and proves how it’s written by a complete idiot who hadn’t even bothered reading the source material or there is some other motive here.

They said, “We heard a young man mention them who is called Ibraheem (Abraham).”

Quran 21:60

So much for him only receiving that name upon the receiving the covenant. No, the Quran forgets this entirely and refers to him as “Abraham” about 80 years too early. It’s almost as if it was written by a fool and not by divine hands.

As a final reminder, upon the Contradictions series as a whole, is that this is still not every error found in the Quran. There are still yet more scientific errors, historical errors, contradictions, and so forth. These articles offered a sample, enough to convince anyone with a thinking mind that not only is Islam and its Quran a complete fabrication, but a poor one at that.

As was said at the start, for those who have wished to break the shackles of Islam but have found themselves fearful, then I hope seeing these truths has set you free.
